CASE and Signal Honor Communications and Development Projects

There are many ways to tell the story of UC Davis and celebrate the people who help make those stories possible, and projects focused on everything from whales to burgers to grand opening events have earned recent accolades.

The honors are from Signal Awards and the arm of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, or CASE, that encompasses five western U.S. states and two territories.

Accolades for Stories, Designs, Development and Videos

Projects telling the story of UC Davis recently won accolades from the regional arm of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, or CASE, a few months after many of the same projects won awards in CASE international competition.

In addition, two UC Davis Health videos earned awards from Sharecare and The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ New York Chapter.

Social Media Collaboration With Chancellor Wins Top CASE Award

The Council for Advancement and Support of Education, or CASE, recently presented its highest Circle of Excellence award, a Grand Gold, to the Office of Strategic Communications for its role in “Building Trust in the Administration Using Social Media.”

UC Davis won 14 awards in the 2022 Circle of Excellence competition: one Grand Gold, four golds, three silvers and six bronze, for projects including new graphics at the Welcome Center, alumni relations initiatives, marketing and a podcast.

UC Davis Gets International Recognition from CASE

After winning more than 30 awards in this year’s CASE regional competition for communication, marketing and development efforts, UC Davis has now earned recognition in the international round of the contest.

In all, four departments won a total of six Circle of Excellence Awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, or CASE, triple the number UC Davis earned last year.

UPDATED: New Honor in CASE Contest

Updated March 9 to add a surprise honor from the CASE District VII conference held March 4-7 in San Francisco: the selection of “Small Towns, Big Flood Waters,” a multimedia story from the Office of Strategic Communications, as a district finalist for the CASE global platinum award for Best Article of the Year. “Small Towns, Big Flood Waters,” by Kat Kerlin and Joe Proudman, will now vie for the platinum with other finalists from around the world.

Meg Padovani, a lead applications developer in Development and Alumni Relations, contributed to 11 projects honored recently by District VII of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, or CASE, and, not surprisingly, she also earned the district’s Rising Star Award.

UC Davis Wins International Honors in CASE Competition

Five marketing, communication and development projects from UC Davis have earned international honors from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, or CASE.

The five Circle of Excellence awards — the most earned by any University of California institution — follow 38 awards UC Davis earned in regional CASE competition earlier this year.

Development, Communication Efforts Win 16 Golds
